Our small, rural church is blessed with a full-time pastor and a few part-time staff that complement many volunteers who are committed to God’s mission and ministry.
Wayner has been the pastor at Bryson City UMC since 2010 after graduating from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. His passion is to help others experience the love of God and follow Jesus. Through the process, we become faithful disciples with a desire to bring God’s kingdom on earth and transform the world around us by every possible means of grace.
We think that “church” in not just a place where we go but is more about who we are and what we do. We feel that our actions speak louder than words and think that church is about taking action in a hurting world. We invite you along this journey with us as we seek to be the loving presence of God in the world.
Judy is a welcomed addition to our staff with extensive experience in the banking and insurance industries, She is a graduate of Pfeiffer University with a degree in business administration.
Among his many other talents, Ralph sings in a Celtic band called Beansidhe (pronounced ban-shee), has a master of divinity degree, and has a masters in counseling. He wants to invite everyone that has an interest in singing, to join the choir for practice, Wednesdays at 7 pm in the sanctuary.
Ann has spent a lifetime in music, as a piano teacher for 50 years. She loves to play both piano and organ and brings beautiful music to our sanctuary each Sunday.
